I care about clear thought, honest speech, and work done with care.

Quality matters to me in the Robert Pirsig sense of the word. You can feel the difference between something made properly and something merely put together. That difference matters in writing, in software, in design, and in how a person lives.

I have no interest in polish for its own sake. I would rather make a useful thing, say a true thing, or leave a mess in better order.
